The history
The belief that a human can transform into another species such as a wolf can be traced far back in time. The story of the werewolf begins with an ancient mythological Greek king named Lycaon. It is said that Lycaon made the gods mad by trying to trick the god Zeus into cannibalism. As a result Lyacon fled terrified until he reached the safety of the silent countryside. There he uttered howling noises and his attempts to speak were all in vain. His clothes changed into bristling hairs and he became a wolf.
His own savage nature showed in his rabid jaws. He had a mania for shedding blood...
