On Sunday, March 22, 2004, I attended the Geneseo Symphony Orchestra concert as they presented five pieces. Each piece was conducted by Mr. James Walker. He and the orchestra accompanied the winners of this year's concerto competition, such as Michael Ciulla who song Bass; Bevin Coggeshall played the Marimba, Thomas E. Jackson and Sonia Vieira played flute and Hanna Kim played the violin. This event was held in Wadsworth Auditorium.
The first piece presented was Concerto for Two Flutes in G Major which was written by Domenico Cimiarosa. The first thing I notice about this piece was the theme and variation of the soloists throughout. The opening theme was played by the orchestra, then both soloist entered and played their part.
