Canaima National Park
The place in Venezuela that I chose to go into more detail about is the Canaima National Park.

The Canaima National Park is located in the southeast section of Venezuela in the state of Bolivar at 6 degrees north longitude, 63 degrees west latitude. It is the location of Angel Falls, the world's highest waterfall, falling 3,212 (979 m) feet to the earth below.
Angel Falls
The Falls were discovered in 1936 by Jimmy Angel, an American bush pilot exploring the area for mineral deposits. Uniquely, Angel Falls does not flow over the top of a cliff. The water gathers underground and erupts from several crevices located 300 feet below the top of the mountain. They are sixteen times higher than Niagara Falls. When the water leaves the top of Angel Fall it drops for fourteen seconds before it reaches the bottom. It also has one of the narrowest canyons of the world, Kavak Canyon. The park is also home to Pemon Indians, whose adobe and churuata dwellings have changed little for over thousands of years...
