I'm Tom Buchanan. Last month I celebrated my 31st birthday, I feel really great and my life is wonderful. If there weren’t all those people who keep looking at me somehow jealous only because of my wealth. But I’m concerned that my wonderful wife Daisy recognizes my true values and doesn’t only see the money while looking at me. I grew up in the West, in Chicago to be exact. My childhood was great at all, because my family is enormously wealthy and that provided me with a lucky youth. My parents were okay, but I don’t have much contact to them anymore, they’re boring people and still always busy and were never really interested in their only son. They didn’t get the essential of life: just enjoying the possibilities one got.
