Summaries of Gilgamesh Tablets V VI

Tablets V and VI told of two different adventures of Gilgamesh and Enkidu. These are stories which show off the strength of these two characters. I intend to trace these characters through these Tablets beginning with the adventure that was commenced in Tablet V.
In Tablet V, Gilgamesh and Enkidu are on a mission to kill the monster Humbaba. Humbaba is the monster that guards the Cedar forest. In this part of the world, cedar was rare and so the forest was meant to be for the gods, not humans and it was Humbaba's job to guard it.
At the beginning of Tablet V, Enkidu and Gilgamesh look around at the beauties of the forest. The two then meet up with Humbaba. Soon, Gilgamesh's god, Shamash brings a mighty storm again Humbaba that leaves him blind and weak. This is when Enkidu and Gilgamesh jumped into the fight with Humbaba...
