You need to know where the market is and understand the short and long term markets. 1. Technology infrastructures- This is the foundation of the system the manager needs to know and understand the system, to know what trade offs or choices would best suit his company. 2. Capital Infrastructure- Where to get the funding for the business and how is the company venture is valued. 3. Media Infrastructure- How is the company advertised and what design and content to choose will best suit your company. The content on the Web is what sells to the public. 4. Public policy Infrastructure- What laws must you follow and you must keep abreast with any new changes that may affect your business because if you don’t you could lose your business over a small change in a new tax law or labor law. 5. What other challenges- You need to know what your competition is and where the market is at all times. (2) 1.Placement- Where do you decide to open a store/web site what competition is in the area and how busy is the area/web site. This will determine the number of customers you have what type of customer if you are selling CDs for the hip hop crowd you would not place you store or web site where the group of people are 40 or above. 2. Security- What security system you have in place to stop hackers because you will lose customers and cash by not keeping up with the latest technology.
