The Comanche Indians
The Comanche Indians were an offshoot of the Wyoming Shoshoni and, prior to their migration south, had been semi sedentary hunters and gatherers. The Comanche were fierce warriors who lived on the Southern Plains. The Southern Plains extend down from the state of Nebraska into the north part of Texas. The Comanche are one of the most historically important Indian cultures from Texas. The Comanche's are actually not really a tribe. The Comanche Indians were organized as bands, not as groups or as a tribe. Each band had its own name. Each Comanche band had its own leader. There were groups of families in the bands. In the Comanche, groups or families could leave one band and join another...
