Bullying occurs in every school. It has one of the most negative effects on our schools and our children. There are many things that bullying can lead to; things as serious as school shootings, poor academic performance and low self esteem.
The first and most serious part about bullying is school shootings. Bullying is at the root of the majority of school shootings in the U.S. In almost every school shooting that took place the "shooter" told either no one what he/she was going to do or they told a peer who told no one. Also 1/3 of students that were interviewed felt unsafe at school because of these shooting taking place. School shootings should not even be taking place nor should our children be going to school in fear, this is why we must diminish the act of bullying or minimize it.
The next thing that our children suffer from is poor academic performance...
