Throughout human history man has always had the deal with cause and the effects from it. From small things like because you put your hand on a hot stove the effect was that you brunt yourself, to big things such as because power grids went bad the effect was that a number of states lost power. No matter what the case may be something will always have a cause and that cause will produce an effect. Sometimes the effect may be a good one and sometimes the effects may be bad even disastrous. The cause of cigarettes has death defying effects.
What is the cause of these death defying effects the cigarettes have? First of all picking up a cigarette and smoking it. If a person is around a bunch of their peers and they are smoking that person could be pressured into picking up a cigarette and smoking it. When a person hangs around a certain group they tend to be influenced by what their peers do, so they don't even have to be pressured into doing it, if they hang around people who smokes long enough they can pick up the habit themselves.
Or if your parents smoke you could become curious and smoke a cigarette when they are not around...
