The average freezing point depression of the solvent, p-dichlorobenzene, according to my results is 13.38 5.86 C/mol. This result is larger than the theoretical freezing point depression of p-dichlorobenzene, which is 7.10 C/mol. Thus, these results from my experiment are justified by the several possible errors that occurred in the lab. During this lab, there were several errors that occurred which caused our data results to not be accurate and correspond with our hypothesis. First was the reading of the temperature at which the solute froze, it was hard to tell when it started to freeze and when it completely turned into a solid. Second, reading the thermometer was difficult because the fluctuation of the thermometer was hard for us to observe the temperature number. A systematic error that occurred throughout the lab was the problem with the solvent, p-dichlorobenzene...
