Determining whether the most effective way to understand contemporary culture is to analyze the trends of its youth could be weighed in many aspects. As far as I concerned, I support the speaker's view due to the two reasons dressed below.
First of all, I believe that the culture of material can be influenced by the treads of youth. To illustrate these points, I want to take the culture of food for example. The Mc-Donald, a famous international food company, has already been a very popular place for people in China to have their lunch or supper. When it initially arisen in china, it is seldom for people to eat that due to the diet habit difference between the east and west. However, some of the young people begin to try it due to their anti-convention nature. Gradually, more and more young people are enthusiasm on it, it didn't because the delicious of the food rather than they think it is a vogue for them to eat the western food. As a consequence, eating Mc-Donald became popularity and thus most people besides youth are infatuated on it. So it is easily to explain why the western food is so popular in china today and it directly transform the Chinese conventional food culture...
