Plan
Aim:
I am going to investigate the factors that affects resistance the atoms in the wire that try to stop the current moving forward and we
measure it in the "Ohms(Ω)" .
Possible factors:
The thickness of the wire.
The thicker the wire, the more space will be available for more current to flow through at once.
The length of the wire.
The longer the wire, the more atoms will be on the way therefore, it will be higher resistance.
The temperature
If the temperature rises, it will make loss of the current through heat, this is because atoms vibrate more.
The type of materials.
Some materials are good conductor, such as copper, which give lower resistance, however good insulators give higher resistance.
