Summary
From what Ive read abortion is considered a criminal offence, but rarely has there been anyone convicted of it because prosecutors find it hard to convict someone of killing an unborn baby. However, it is considered legal to have an abortion if the baby is endangering the health of the mother. Also in South Australia and the Northern Territory it is legal to have an abortion if there is something wrong or abnormal about the foetus. If however the mother has an ectopic pregnancy and the mothers life is in danger, then the only way to save the mothers life is to remove the baby because if that doesnt happen, then both the baby and the mother will die. This is the only case that removing the foetus to save the mothers life is the only right thing to do but abortion is still wrong according to the writer. According to the writer, the main reasons why abortion occurs is that the mother cant accept her children being handicapped or maybe because the mother doesnt have enough financial support to support her child. The Bible teaches us that an unborn child possesses the same rights as humans who are alive today. In Psalm 139:13 it shows that God loved us when we were still in our mothers womb. Also it teaches us that killing an unborn child is the same as committing a murder as it says in one of the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 20...
