Sovereignty for Hawaii
Hawaii should stand once again as an independent nation with sovereignty. America was wrong in annexing the Hawaiian Islands in 1898. This action by the United States was not just, and should be dealt with accordingly today, as America recognizes Hawaiian independence. Hawaii is clearly stable and civilized to sustain orderly government and control their own country under their own rule. The Islands were annexed out of wrong reason, thus promoting hostility from Hawaiians towards America. It is therefore American duty to settle this tension and address the problem fairly and promptly. America should create peace and reimburse Hawaii by recognizing the Islands as Independent.
In 1893, US marines landed in Honolulu and set up camp. The troops were officially were there for protection to those Americans residing in Hawaii for the time. The Hawaiians saw this placement of the marines as a support to the Annexation Club and as a threat...
