Every single person is part of a society. Some may be better citizens than others but even convicts are part of a society, and the society, as a whole, is driven by past events, achievements, and failures. Its said that those who don't learn the past are bound to repeat it, and if we didn't have anyone to learn and teach that history to others, we wouldn't be where we are today. With that, it is important that we know how people make decisions, either as individuals or in groups, so we can better understand how and where the future of our society is headed and social scientists are the people who do that. I picked social scientists because it is a career where one gets the opportunity to see and learn how people in a society interact with other people and like, either present or past.
Social scientists, through their studies and analysis, suggest solutions to social, personal, business, environmental, and governmental problems. To get solutions, many apply various methods to assemble facts and construct theories. The information from a social scientist's studies will enable people to make batter decisional or more effectively manage their affairs. There are many different kind of social scientists and each specialize in a certain part of society either in the past or present.
