Dolley Madison
Dolley Madison was born on May 20, 1768 in Gilford County, North Carolina. Her parents were John and Mary Coles Payne. Dolley and her parents moved to Virginia when she was a baby. Dolley was the oldest of six brothers and sisters. Dolley and her family were Quakers. They wore plain, grey clothes and didn't fight. Dolley was a happy and beautiful girl.
