I agree with the notion that we, human beings, at each stage of our lives, have been blessed with a lot of choices. Whether we look at personal level, social level or national level, we always have a lot of options open to us.
At personal level, from the time of our birth till our death, we have a myriad of choices available. When we are young we can decide whether to study or to remain illiterate. As we grow older we choose the subjects that we want to pursue and later on, the career that we find most suitable. When we wish to marry, again we find large number of girls or guys who can be our potential life partners and then we eventually settle down with the one that we believe to be most compatible. Due to availability of large number of contraceptives we can decide if and when we want to conceive. Thanks to the developments that have taken place in the field of medicine, we can now even decide the gender of our children. More over, if during all this time span we get fed up of our lives again we have a choice. We can decide the time when we want to put an end to our miseries and then again we can choose the manner in which we wish to leave this world...
