Abstract
The study will seek to determine the level of self-esteem and self- worth individuals feel about themselves as compared to others of approximately the same age. Subjects will answer a questionnaire regarding their feelings about social situations; how they feel about themselves, activities they are involved in and comparing themselves to others. Participants between the ages of 18- 24 will complete a self- administered survey called the Rosenberg self-esteem scale which will evaluate one's worth or value. We will be comparing two situations, such as A being you did well on your blue book exam and situation B being not doing very well. Participants will then be asked to rate their self-esteem in these particular situations. We predict that the self-esteem scores of those who did better on the test will be higher than those who did not do well.

Rosenberg defines self-esteem as a positive or negative orientation toward oneself; an overall evaluation of one's worth or value (1978). Many aspects play into a person's self esteem such as body image, psychological thinking, emotional well being, and social acceptance to name a few.
