In the article, there is a type of social contract called the Patriot Act that tries to guarantee the citizens of the US security and freedom. ... Sometimes it’s necessary to sacrifice individual rights temporarily to protect them long-term. Not only does the social contract provide security and freedom but it also protects the Civil State from the brutish savagery of other individuals who have not yet realized its advantages.
