The electoral college started because the framers wanted to have a non partisan
presidential election. ... With these considerations in mind its hard to believe that electoral
votes are actually considered fare or that the states can even see eye to eye on certain issues
We are persuaded to vote and led to believe that our vote counts but in reality it is the
electoral votes that really counts. Throughout the years the electoral college has had many
changes from its original design although the one fact that remains the same is that the electoral
college is still in complete control of who gets elected into Presidency. ... In the end when all is said and done we watch tv and the people’s
choice candidate is ahead but once all the electoral votes are in we can only sit and watch as
another candidate wins the race.
