William Wordsworth is the author of many famous poems. One of his particular famous sets of poems is titles: Lucy poems. This paper will examine three of them and what the meaning and feelings that were trying to be expressed from each poem.
The first one that will be examined is titles: Strange Fits of Passions have I Known. It is a love poem in where he is discussing his feelings for his lover, who is named Lucy. How much he cannot wait till he gets to her cottage. He describes his feelings of how much he loves her, how much he loves being with her and what she does to him. He mentions in the first stanza:
"Strange fits of passion have I known: And I will dare to tell, but in the Lover's ear alone, What once to me befell."(251)
This quote describes that what he feels for her, can only be told to her. This expresses the intensity of his feelings for her...
