The classical approach to management started to be introduced in the late 1850's. This approach was introduced by F.W. Taylor and many others. Their goal was to come up with a consistent concentrated body of management thought. F.W. Taylor, Henri Fayol, Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, and Henry L. Gantt all contributed to the ideas and practices of one of today's managerial concepts, the classical approach.
