Of the Loman's, Biff is the only one who gains self-recognition. Explain.
Self-Recognition plays a pivotal role in any one person's lives. It is about knowing who you are, and that you are a one in a million. No one else is the same as you, and you shouldn't try to be someone that you are not. When you realize this, you become a bigger man or woman than you were before.
This is a major theme in the play Death of a Salesman. Biff Loman does not know who he is at the beginning of the play, but by the end he has his mind made up he's not a salesman, which is what his dad Willy is pushing him to be, just like him. In this essay, I will show how Biff gained maturity and became a bigger man by recognizing who he really is.
