Introduction
I have been asked to prepare a report looking at the issues and opportunities available to Hopkirks Ltd in their recruitment, selection and training process. I will include descriptions of all the recruitment and selection methods and suggest the most suitable for this situation. I also intend to include information on the benefits of training to professionally develop the new production workers and supervisors. The human resource cycle must also be taken into account during the selection process.
Recruitment
Due to the firm's well-established reputation and status, you must maintain the quality you have been achieving in the past. Suitable staff is an important factor in this. The future employees must have the appropriate skills in order to meet the standards of Hopkirks Ltd, they must also be willing to remain part of your staff for the full five years.
You must attract suitable candidates by advertising the available jobs. The adverts must be accurate, short, honest, positive and relevant.
