“Tuition Hike”
Tuition is being raised yet again; at the same time aid is being revoked from students in dyer financial need. ... Since the inauguration of Utica College, tuition has increased on a yearly basis. ... The objective of every college is to broaden its horizons by attracting a diverse class of undergraduates as well as graduates; although with such an increase in tuition how are students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds able to afford tuition? ... ” It is apparent that the hike in tuition is going to be detrimental to the college’s enrollment in the fall as students are being forced to look elsewhere for their higher education as their financers cannot meet the financial requirements.
With such increases in tuition, very few changes have been made to the school. ... Despite UC’s increase in tuition, student’s financial aid is being drastically cut due in part by new laws and revisions which are in the process of being passed.
Before any further changes are made within the tuition at Utica College the following should be evaluated such as: the relevance of such an increase, where the money is planning on being spent, how UC is going to try and help those affected by the financial aid decrease, what improvements have been made in the past with such increases, and why must these increases continue?
