A good theme to describe The Twelfth Night would be love. Some of the characters in the story dig deep into a love that is so strong. In The Twelfth Night there is a love triangle, but the characters in the story do not see that their love for each other is completely untrue. Love is shown in these two throughout the entire story because, Viola is in love with Orsino, Orsino is in love with Olivia , and Olivia is in love with Cesario (Viola in disguise).
Viola's love for Orsino is a great example of true love. Even though she loves him, she keeps her identity as a young boy and sends his messages of love to Olivia. Viola hopes to win Orsino's heart by doing all of these things for him. She professes her true love and opens up her identity when she says "yet a 'barful strife! Whoe'er I woo, myself would be his wife." Throughout the whole time Viola is pretending to be a boy, her and Orsino enjoy a close friendship and it is not hard for Orsino to later marry Viola...
