Alcohol Abuse Among Teens and College Students
In today's society alcohol abuse among teenagers and college students is becoming a serious problem. Alcohol abuse can be defined as a pattern of extreme alcohol use that produces behavioral changes in which drinking can become the center activity of an individual's life. There are many reasons why campus life has the problems that it does today. On most college campuses alcohol abuse is the number one problem, despite the fact that it is illegal for most undergraduates. Many college students' lives are ruined because of drinking and abusing alcohol. Twenty-one may be the legal drinking age, but some how minors find a way to get a hold of alcohol. Alcohol is said to be the chosen drug among college students. Alcoholism is rapidly growing among teenagers and resulting in many harmful side effects. Drinking alcohol is said to cause young adults to dropout, fail school, practice unsafe sexual acts, commit crimes such as rape, and unfortunately, even commit suicide.
College students have made alcohol the representation of student life at colleges throughout the nation...
