Obesity has become an epidemic in America. More people are overweight in this country than ever before, and the pattern is worsening. It is one of the leading health problems that we face today. Currently, Americans are spending millions of dollars every year on weight loss diets, medications, counseling, and low fat products; yet the problem persists. It is almost hard to believe that such an advanced nation has become so unhealthy. Something must be done to combat this problem before it becomes any worse. Changing the American lifestyle is the only hope to curing the crisis of obesity.
Obesity is a serious issue especially for those who have to live with it everyday. The hardships of this disease include the physical ones as well as the emotional ones. Obesity can limit the kinds of activities that a person can participate in because it is simply harder to move around...
