Hamlet
The truth is often hard to find, consequently to discover what things truly are we must first find what they are not. In Shakespeare's play Hamlet, many characters are digging for the truth. Namely the main characters, Hamlet, Claudius, and others use cunning nevertheless deceiving and underhanded means to find out the truth. Polonius has crystallized a significant theme throughout play with his advice to Reynaldo " By indirections find directions out." (2.1 77)
When Hamlet is informed of the corruption that led to his father's demise at the words of his father's spirit, he is determined to find out if there is any genuineness behind the story.
