Has loving anything so much ever made you do something that you wouldn’t normally do? Well in the story “A Doll’s House”, the female character in the play named Nora does this for her husband Torvald as she takes him to a warmer place during the winter months due to a disease that he has. All of the characters in this play take part in destroying Nora and Torvald’s marriage. In this play, I believe that there are many characters to blame for the breakup of Nora and Torvald. Throughout the play Nora takes some steps in the separation of her and her husband Torvald. She does this by lying to him and doing things behind his back. For example, Nora took out a bank loan and forged her diseased fathers name as the co-signer (Ibsen 677). Another example is that Nora hides candy that she isn’t suppose to be eating from her husband and doesn’t ever let him find out about it (Ibsen 667). Her character in this play reminds me of a child. She's always accepted her father's and her husband's opinions.
