Typically, Hindu philosophers thought of Jainists as crude relativists. According to the idea of crude relativism, all views are correct because reality is different for everyone. Hence, we create our own reality. One could say that a tree has pink leaves and be correct because to that individual, the tree has pink leaves even though leaves are typically said to be green. It would be wrong to criticize any viewpoint because all views are equally right. So a person seeing the same leaves, who thinks they are green, should not say that the leaves aren't pink because they are pink to the other person. Basically anything can be right depending on the perspective of the person. Therefore, no absolute truth exists. In this form of relativism, no one is ever wrong. Even hurting people can be justified as right because a person determines their own reality...
