Chicago. Diversity, culture, urban, body-tossing wind, constant moving. Poplar Bluff. Lifeless, conformed, settled, monotonous, quiet. I left my hometown Poplar Bluff to escape the bland, rural life I had established for the dazzling lights of Chicago. I yearned to live free from conformity and close-mindedness and ached for a more liberal lifestyle. When I arrived in Chicago the never halting movement of traffic, lives, information, and beings overwhelmed me. Everyone seemed to be soullessly shifting through life ignoring each other's presence. The city appeared mechanical and impersonal to me. I wanted to flee from the constant hustle and bustle of the city and return to my quiet, homey town...
