Critic of Speaker
"It ain't over, 'till it's over" a famous quote said by New York Yankee, Yogi Berra. While playing as a Yankee, Yogi went on to become a fifteen-time All-Star, winning the American League MVP three times, in 1951, 54 and 55. He played in 14 World Series and holds numerous World Series records including most games by a catcher (63), hits (71), and times on a winning team (10). He is also first in at bats, first in doubles, second in RBI's, third in home runs and base on balls. In addition, Yogi hit the first pinch-hit home run in World Series history in 1947. With this, I was excited to learn that my softball team was going to meet Yogi Berra. On February 2nd, my softball team, along with a few other younger baseball players and parents met at Yogi Berra Stadium (on campus) to take a tour of the museum and actually talk with Mr. Berra.
Primarily, the whole reason for our team to meet Yogi was to help influence our enthusiasm for the game of softball, talk to a successful player, and for team bonding. It's not everyday someone can say he/she talked to a baseball legend...
