Abstract
The early Christian church was established after the death of Jesus Christ. The early Christian church was essential in continuing the gospel message Jesus had started during his reign on earth. The early Christian churches were not actually buildings but were actually the believers who gathered together to worship. Women played a major role in these churches getting started by opening up their homes for the believers to meet.
Jesus' set an example of how women were to be treated by the church with his utmost respect and fairness in his dealings with women. Apostle Paul continued Jesus' view of how women were to be treated by equally accepting women into the roles of his ministry. Paul used women throughout his ministry to help spread the word of God.
The early Christian church offered advantages to women because it treated them as equals in the eyes of God. Women were elected to be deaconesses and some were accepted as being prophets. They ministered to the poor and elderly, as well as, contributed financially to help spread the word of God...
