POW #12 Kick It!
Problem Statement- The league of the Free Thinkers decided to change their scoring system to 5 points for a field goal and 3 points for a touchdown. The only way to score is a field goal, touchdown or a combination of them. One of the Wise Free Thinkers said that she noticed that it was impossible to get 1,2, or 4 with their scoring system. She then said that after a certain number all numbers are possible to get.
1. Find out what the highest impossible value is and explain why you are sure that all scores are higher than this.
2. Make up you own scoring system (whole numbers only) and see if there are scores that are impossible to make. Is there always an impossible score?..
