Whether on not the Virtual Team can complete their assignments on time is based upon their abilities to overcome some unique time problems, scheduling issues and if the assignment coordinator can get the input compiled.
A Virtual Team has to deal with unique time problems. They are especially challenging if a team is recently formed and then given a short suspense. These unique time problems have to be dealt with or the team faces the real possibility that the assignment will not be completed on time. Some time considerations come about because members live in different time zones, which are then compounded by what hours during the day members like to work. Teams members may fall into to one of two categories; those that like to work early in the day and those that work best later in the day. Members may get frustrated or impatient waiting for data from other members when it is input at different hours. Early morning members wait on late niters and late niters wait on early morning members. Time is important also, because most team members have other commitments, which are family and work related...
