The Ancient Greek Blame Game
At the end of the play, Oedipus, once a noble king, is a miserable man. He is disgraced, ridiculed, blind, and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in exile from Thebes, the city he ruled proudly for many years. And his four children will have to deal with the aftermath of his behavior for the rest of their lives. In fact, his daughter Antigone accompanies him as he leaves, to take care of him. After seeing the story, a lot of people wonder if Oedipus really deserves all the bad things that happen to him. So you be the jury: Who is to blame for what happened to Oedipus?
