ESSAY OF THE EXODUS
My assignment is about after the book of Genesis (Old Testament) and continued on to the book of Exodus where 400 years after Josephs death comes a new Pharaoh who doesnt know Joseph and the good things he did for Egypt. The new pharaoh was afraid that the Hebrews (which their population was larger than the Egyptians) would end up overpowering them and taking over their empire. The pharaoh chose to make the Hebrews slaves to build great structures and other buildings for the pharaoh thus also ordering his soldiers to kill every male Hebrew at the age of two years or under to stop the growth of the population.
Meanwhile, a son was born to a Hebrew mother, from the tribe of Levi. The mother also had another older son, Aaron and an older sister, Miriam. She hid the baby for three months. After the three months, the son was too big to hide. They only way for the baby to survive now was to make a small arc to place the baby in. After the arc was made the mother asked her daughter, Miriam to make sure that the baby was okay while floating along the Nile River. The Daughter of the pharaoh saw the little arc floating...
