First off hunger is a biological motive that all humans have. However, eating behavior is influenced by social, psychological, and some biological factors. How much you eat, and when you eat are examples of your eating behavior. When you eat foods, your body breaks them down using enzymes, and converts that food into "fuel" for your body.
Think of your body as a car, and the food you eat is like the gasoline you put in a car. The car converts the gas into a form of energy that runs your car, in much the same way your body converts food into energy that your body needs. When your car gets low on gas you sometimes get a warning light or beeping sound. Well, when your body gets low on "fuel" you get that hunger feeling. A major difference from a car and your body is that your car can run on those last few fumes of gasoline, but your body can't. Your body uses one-third of its "fuel" for routine activities of daily life, and the remaining two-thirds are used to support vital continuous bodily functions...
