Chile is located on the western coast of South America. It is very long and narrow. In fact, it is ten times longer than it is wide. Chile has a great variety of different climates and land. There are many amazing sites in Chile such as glaciers, snow-capped volcanoes, beaches, deserts, and jungles. Chile is divided into three land regions: the Northern Desert, the Archipelago, and the Central Valley.
The Northern Desert, contains the Atacama Desert, which is one of the driest places on the earth. There have been some cases where it has not rained there for years. The Atacama Desert covers most of the northern part of this region. There is no plant life in the Northern Desert except for a few grown crops that support small farming communities...
