Cell Comparison
In this lab I was trying to find out the different shapes, sizes, and composition of different cells. ... I observed human hair, human cheek cells, elodea plant cells, and old rotten yogurt, which is a type of bacteria cell. I also observed a protozoa cell, a preserved mushroom, and human bone. ... Then I focused the cell in with the coarse and fine focus. Once it was focused I magnified the cell to the most so I could actually draw it. ...
The cheek cell looked like the head of a cotton swab. You could see the nucleus and other parts of the cell. The cell was also clear. I viewed the cheek cell on the 100X setting.
The elodea plant cell was very rigid and green. You could see the green chloroplasts in the cell.
