The Greenhouse Effect is the warming of the Earthfs surface due to the increase in carbon dioxide. Without the greenhouse effect, the average surface of the Earth is believed to be about -73C or about 10 0F; under these conditions even the oceans on the Earth would most likely be frozen. The greenhouse effect can also be a very scary hazard to the Earth. The result of a Runway greenhouse effect would cause the temperatures to rise to more than 500C or 932F. The greenhouse effect or global warming is the warming of the earthfs surface due to a rise in the amount of carbon dioxide in the earthfs atmosphere.
The greenhouse effect or global warming can have a great impact on the earth as we know it. It could cause a drastic rise in the average sea level, due to the increase of melted ice caps. The ice caps would melt very rapidly due to the increase in the temperature causing a very noticeable and prudent rise of the coastal lines. The effects of global warming will have a long term effect on the earth, as opposed to a rise in temperatures over night. With the continunation of global warming the average earth temperature could increase by as much as 9 degrees F by the mid twentieth century...
