There is a general assumption that twins, who are raised together, develop the use of adult language slower than their non-twin peers. Depending on which piece of literature you read will give you the answer to this assumption. Older twin studies will say yes, it is true. More recent studies do not give a clear-cut answer. They factor in many more causes than the older studies such as gestational age because twins tend to be born at an earlier age.
