When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You're the one who stands by me
Whenever times may go wrong,
And you're the one who builds me up,
You help me stay so strong.
You're the one i turn to
As a tears falls from my eye
And you say "Just turn to God"
As you show me to the sky.
You're the one who always knows best,
You show me right from wrong,
So that I might be successful in life,
And easily get along.
You stand so strong, Stand so tall,
with your head up to the skies,
Walking with me hand in hand,
looking in my eyes.
Seeing troubles I might have,
curing them with your love,
Taking times to talk to me
with the words God sent you from above.
You're the one I run to
When something worries me...
