Napoleon Bonaparte was one of the greatest military conquerors of all time. He was incredibly ambitious and worked very hard all his life in an attempt to rule over all of Europe. He was certainly a genius, but he had enough madness (as many genius’ do) to make him achieve worldwide and everlasting fame. ... ” Despite his great genius he could not have been able to conquer Europe.
Starting at second-lieutenant at age sixteen, many could see Napoleon going far. Napoleon was besieging Toulon which had many English and Spanish forces. ... At twenty-six Napoleon was General-in-Chief of the French army, in this year he captured Amsterdam, and the next he was appointed General in charge of the Italian army (along with the French).
Some of the strategies which got Napoleon this far were; the institution of an Inspector-General of Field Artillery, who standardized all cannons to make them many times more effective, both in power and number.
