Netball: is a game which a ball has to be thrown down a court and fall through an elevated horizontal ring from which a net hangs.
Shoot: to take a shot at goal.
Rebound: spring back after impact, if you shoot the ball and it misses, you rebound the ball to keep possession.
Netball
A netball court is divided into three thirds. There is an attacking third, a center third and a defending third.
7 players can take the court at one time. The game is run in quarters of 10 minutes and there is a break in between. In those breaks players may swap positions. Goal Shooter (GS) is allowed in 1+2
Goal Attack (GA) is allowed in 1+2+3
Wing Attack (WA) is allowed in 2+3
Centre (C) is allowed in 2+3+4
Wing Defence (WD) is allowed in 3+4
Goal Defence (GD) is allowed in 3+4+5
Goal Keeper (GK) is allowed in 4+5
Goal shooter and goal attack are allowed to shoot the ball from inside the semi-circle at the attacking third. The defenders (GD) (GK) are there to rebound the ball when the opposition miss a goal, the other players bring the ball down the court to the attackers which shoot the goals...
