Inhumane Animal Torture and Death

The inhumane abuse, torture, and death of animals are an issue that needs to be addressed. Animals suffer throughout the world from the cruel acts committed by merciless sadistic people. I don't mean the type of stuff you see in rodeos and stuff like that, I'm talking about acts such as knifing kittens to death, slitting the throats of dogs so they can bleed to death slowly, and stuffing rabbits' eyes with cosmetic make-up. People need to know, how barbaric animals are treated, and how others show no sign of remorse from committing these horrible actions, which sometimes are done for entertainment.
In the United States alone, acts of animal cruelty come in the following forms: shooting, animal fighting, torturing, beating, mutilation, throwing, burning, poisoning, stabbing, kicking, dragging, suffocating, drowning, hanging, and running over with a vehicle. An example of an animal cruelty case is that of a cat mutilation that happened in a New York university. Prior to December 1st, 2002, the cat's remains were placed in a bag and hung on the door of the Sigma Chi fraternity house, and were discovered early on Dec. 2.
