George Washington without a doubt was one of the greatest presidents to ever serve America. He was intelligent, caring, and experienced. He prepared America for its following years as a nation, and in a way protected it from further turmoil. Not only did George Washington care about this country's independence very passionately, he wanted the suffering of the Americans to be minimal and did everything in his power to make the transition go smoothly. There are many contradictions about what he did regarding the foreign and domestic affairs. His domestic affairs were basically the whiskey tax. Some of his foreign affairs consisted of the treaties with France, the treaty with England and the treaty with Spain. Was he a coward not to go to war every time there was a problem with another country? Some Americans most likely thought just that.
The whisky tax was a very bold move for George Washington...
