The first myth I learned about was about Eve. I have always known the basis of the story about the Garden of Eden. I knew that there was a tree of knowledge in which they were not supposed to eat from. I also knew that Eve was tricked by a serpent into eating from the tree and then she had Adam eat from it as well. I had never realized that this was the origin of sin. I also had never known that Eve was supposedly a "seductress" and that she was blamed for creating sin. I have always felt that Eve was tricked into eating the fruit and it was never her fault in the first place. I also felt that even just wanted to know information and loved Adam so much that she wanted Adam to know the information as well. She was never trying to harm anyone by eating the fruit; she was only trying to gain knowledge. I also felt that this story makes God seem like a power-hungry control freak...
