I ask you god, please release France from this curse of which has crushed our nation! Anger, hate and sadness have clouded my judgment as of late and it has become clear that France has hit rock bottom, something I have feared for over two years. It is utter chaos that fills the streets and our politics are as dead as our economy. Misery is felt throughout France and the rates of deaths per month have appeared to sky rocketed through these last twelve months. We no longer can rely on trade and many people have become unemployed. Crop failures have decreased the amount of bread and increased the price of the available so starvation is common, and food riots have continued to break out over the amount of money the poor must pay to eat. It would be horrible to have to spend fifty to eighty percent of my income on food like the poor. I am lucky that I have wealth to pay for these necessities but I am beginning to feel the pain and anguish that the lower class must deal with on a daily basis. The extra stab in the back came in the last winter which crippled our nation. So much death in such a short time, it is hard to grasp the effects this year has taken on France...
